Restoration Work

Restoration Work

Throughout the last six decades, Gransdens has developed a reputation for high quality craftsmanship. Using traditional materials and time-honoured skills, we have completed a considerable number of restoration projects to a very high standard.

A large proportion of this work has been carried out at ancient church buildings throughout Kent in conjunction with the Churches Conservation Trust. Works range from structural roof repairs, to replacement flint walls, underpinning, decorating, stonework and more.

Other projects include working with English Heritage on the complete restoration of the Dickens Chalet in Rochester which required extensive timberwork repairs, and the Old Courthouse in Milton which required major repairs to the main oak structural frame and replastering with lime and horse hair plaster on traditional split lathes.
